Not recovering from sleep mode

Built a new machine last night… Odd issue with sleep mode. When the device goes into sleep mode, it won’t come out. need to execute a reset to get it working again.

Any suggestions on how to fix this, i cant spend three minutes powering back up every time the machine goes to sleep…

Which Framework Laptop 13 do you have, what SSD do you have, and what OS?

ryzen 7040 series w/ 2TB nvme drive, windows 11…

Any thoughts?

Yes, here’s my thoughts.

  1. Have you done all Windows updates?
  2. Do you have latest Framework drivers and bios? Framework Laptop BIOS and Driver Releases (AMD Ryzen™ 7040 Series)
  3. What SSD did you install?
  4. What RAM did you install? What DRAM/memory is supported by Framework Laptop 13 (AMD Ryzen™ 7040 Series)?
  5. What expansion cards do you have connected to the laptop?
  6. What devices do you have connected to any expansion card when the laptop tries to sleep?
  7. List of applications installed? Are you using 3rd party antivirus or only Windows Defender? Any other “security” applications installed?

Answer the above then we can go from there.

Hi,
I am facing the same issue here with my Framework 13" ryzen 7040 series w/ 500GB WD drive, windows 11…
Cards : I have 2 USB-A an 1 USB-C and 1 HDMI
When going to sleep mode, I usually have a mouth on USB-A but not always and the issue can appear in any configuration.
I have basic apps installed such as Office suite, Canva and Slack, Spark…

The issue would sometimes disappear with new updates on Win11, but not for long.

This issue makes it hard to have a “normal” use of my laptop, any effective toubleshooting identified so far ? I saw one has been figured out on Debian, but didn’t find any advice for Win11.

Thanks for your help !
