13 Framework Ryzen Upgrades?

I have a 13 Ryzen, i love this compact little laptop!. please comment/ upvote so Creators can give some more insight.

As i use it more and more i began to think…

  1. Hold crap this laptop gets **HOT **
  2. It looks dorky with only the screen bezel in the chosen color
  3. Wishing for more variation in usable/compatible parts or internals.

My Requests: Is it possible to get upgraded fans to reduce laptops heat troubles?

Please create (all outer laptop covers) to give the option of making the leptop a fully solid color.

it would also be nice if the screen could be touch pad sensitive and have mini LEDs for a backlit keyboard.

Transparent looks pretty sleek imo

Kinda hoping the upgraded heatsink of the new ai 300 ones works with the 7040 ones though the cooling is allready quite good.

Dbrand skins do get you most of the way there. Personally I’d like a plastic chassis myself XD

Consider applying PTM7950 to your CPU.

Thermal performance also greatly depends on your power settings (at least on Linux, not sure what the deal is on Windows).

I’ve been satisfied with my stock FW13 AMD 7640’s thermal performance. I do use an aluminum frame to both provide my preferred keyboard angle and increased airflow. Something like: Klim Aluminum Laptop Stand or Orinco Laptop Stand

The one I bought years ago seems to be discontinued but is more petite than both of those.

The FW13 is my only laptop in the past decade that I haven’t repasted the heatsink. Here is Tom’s Hardware comparison of Thermal Pastes and Pads.

I’ll repaste it the next time I have it open. I typically run benchmarks before and after to quantify cooling effects.

Hope this helps!
