Hey Everyone, I have a Framework 13 and saw the new upgrades and i’m looking to upgrade to the new speakers, new battery, new bottom cover for the new expansion card latch as I have only one hand. exactly what upgrades would I need and how much would they cost? I’m still having a hardtime understanding the upgrade path. I don’t need the new keyboard or touchpad, just the new expansion card latch, speakers, and battery. Lastly, how much will these upgrade cost and roughly how much could i resell my current parts for.

It looks like, if you want the new battery and speakers, you need the new bottom cover, and the new bottom cover needs the new Input cover.
Yes (bundle required). To use the CNC-machined Bottom Cover, you must use the Framework Laptop 13 Pro Bottom Cover Upgrade Kit, which includes new Speakers, Battery, and Input Cover Kit.
All this stuff is listed in “marketplace” but the price of the bundle isn’t listed yet, and these parts probably won’t ship for 3+ months (until they’ve shipped most of the pre-ordered full laptops).

Does anyone know if the non pro battery will be compatible with the pro bottom cover?
I definitely get why the pro battery won’t fit in a non pro bottom.

I had the same question, but if I understand https://frame.work/de/en/laptop13pro?tab=upgrade-to-pro correctly, you need the new battery and speakers, if you want the new bottom cover.
The speakers make sense, as the speaker are side-firing now, so the old speakers won’t fit the new bottom cover anymore. And while the new bigger bottom cover probably would be able to fit the old smaller battery, I don’t know if the mounting points and screws match?

But I’d also be interested to get an official answer if the old battery can be put into the new pro bottom cover.

non pro battery is not compatible with the pro bottom cover kit.
