I currently have the 13 with ryzen 7040 model with the 61 battery, and I’m happy with it, the only thing I would like to upgrade is the battery, is it possible to upgrade to the pro battery, I think I will need to replace the bottom and top covers, is that all? I don’t really want anything else, since it would be a waste of an otherwise good working machine.
For the new battery you’ll need the new bottom cover and the new midplate (with keyboard and touchpad and everything).

To be fair that is a really high cell voltage and the previous 61wh battery with lower (still very high) cell voltage (and slightly different chemistry) already had some bloating issue to the point where they had to make bios workarounds.
Would I have liked them to make the laptop a few mm thicker and add a theoretical 120Wh (if juiced to the gills) battery de-rated to 100Wh for maximum longevity in the thing? Yeah, Do I think this one will probably be fine, also yeah.
i want this so bad! i’m outraged that its in “register interest” mode. I want it now

Yes, I agree, I would like to get the new battery, and the new botton cover with keyboard, that’s it, I’m find keeping the rest of the laptop since it’s still working.
