I want to purchase a Framework Laptop (based in EU), but during the customisation, the price base for 7040 Series is 775 Euro, however, on the checkout is shown at 909 Euro.
This is the case only with 7040 Series in EU. It won’t be the case If you try to reproduce this on the US market, or on EU market with different models.
There is more than one thread covering this. It comes down to a couple of things: -
Delivery costs to Europe vs USA.
Europe has 20% VAT against USA sales tax being typically around 6% - although of recent times Trumps import tariffs have had an affect on this.
Just remember that the price you see as the final price is the price on your doorstep, there are no additional import taxes or duties to pay, they are all included in the end price.

I guess you misunderstood the problem. I’m not talking about the difference between the US and EU cost. I’m talking about a possible bug in cost calculation, as attached in the screenshot. Base cost of 7040 is 775Euro, while it’s showing 909 Euro (this without any extra component). This doesn’t look like the same with other models, as the same base price is shown at the checkout.
