Currently using the drivers from the driver package
7840HS
7700s
1tb sabrent 2230
2tb Samsung 970 EVO plus
I want to start that I love the system, works as intended 9/10 and has exceeded my expectations thus far, gonna be dual booting bazzite here soon to game off of majority of the time unless I’m playing cod or 2003-2007 NFS games.
My only gripe right now is that for whatever reason, alt tabbing or just randomly in a game on black ops 6, the SmartAccess graphics gives me the performance of the iGPU instead of using the 7700s.
Only way I have found to keep this from happening is basically just using the hybrid mode instead which I feel like beats the perhaps of having switchable graphics.
This happens when I use it both on the laptop monitor and on an external monitor through a Caldigit TS3+ plugged into one of the USB4 ports on the side. I understand that theres the advanced graphics settings but that’s set to how I need it to be on the game to prefer high performance.
Is this intended? Is there a setting I need to be changing to make this work as intended? I don’t think alt tabbing should break this setting. Have you guys used the AMD drivers instead of the Framework supplied drivers?
