I have an AMD Ryzen 7040 series running OpenSUSE Tumbleweed, kept reasonably up to date, running 6.13.1-1-default kernel on the 3.05 BIOS. This is a mainboard upgrade from an 11th gen Intel.
I have USB-c expansion cards in ports 1 and 2, and HDMI expansion cards in ports 3 and 4:
I have my machine configured for suspend-then-hibernate. In the morning, when I boot it back up from hibernation, the first thing I unlock my KDE Plasma session, and then I plug in my two HDMI monitors to the two expansion cards. At that point kscreen recognizes the configuration and disables my internal display so I can close the lid.
Since upgrading to the AMD mainboard I’m finding that after hibernation, the HDMI expansion card in port 4 does not work. If I pull the card out and plug it back in, the card works as normal. It does not matter which of the two HDMI expansion cards is in that port. Port 3 works fine after hibernation.
