Bluetooth speaker/headphones does not show as sound device (Win 11)

Hi, I have issues with using my bluetooth sound devices on my FW laptop (FW 13, AMD Ryzen 7640) running Windows 11. I can pair and connect the speaker or headphones but they do not show up as a output device for sound. Moreover, when I try to open up sound settings over Control Panel, nothing happens. Does anyone encountered a similar issue? I have installed the latest drivers and firmware bundle from Framework.

Not sure if this helps, but I wanted to report that I encountered the same issue with my Framework Laptop 16. I tried plugging in wired headphones, but those didn’t work either.

Rebooting fixed the issue for me, but I’m not sure if it’ll happen again.

Did you ever figure out this issue? I’m have the same problem and I’ve uninstall all the bluetooth and wifi drivers and reinstalled the latest Framework 16 bundle, but my Bluetooth headphones don’t show up as an audio device. Previously paired devices still work for audio, but cannot pair new ones.

Edit: I’d like to note that they show up correctly as Bluetooth audio on another laptop and my phone without issue. It’s 100% my Framework laptop 16 Mediatek Bluetooth drivers that are the issue.

Not really, I started using new headphones - Sennheiser and the problem went away after a few Windows and driver updates.

I am currently using Windows 11 Pro, 25H2, 26200.7462. Bluetooth is Mediatek RZ616, version 1.1043.0.532

Since yours is FW16, I presume you might have different bluetooth module and if the latest drivers do not work for you, hopefully a future update will, as it did for me.
