Just got my Framework 13 and been really happy with it. There’s one feature however I didn’t realise I would miss from my last Dell laptop and I can’t see it discussed anywhere here or available as a setting in BIOS.
With my last laptop when you opened the lid and it was powered off it would automatically start booting, no need to press the power button. It’s a small thing but I found it really useful, would be awesome to have it added as an option at some point.
I’d love this too on my Framework 16. My work HP laptop has the feature. I’d never have guessed it was such a big deal, but I often find myself annoyed at having to click an extra button on my Framework and occasionally even find myself opening computer, and then coming back a minute later expecting to see the login screen but I’d never clicked the button to start the boot process. I guess I’m a major creature of habit.
Clearly framework has the right sensor since opening the screen causes it to wake from sleep.
Hopefully it’s electrically possible already, and just needs a firmware update.
