The camera has suddenly stopped working on my Framework 13 AMD running Ubuntu 24.04. It was working but now toggling the on off switch seems to do nothing.
Can anyone suggest some troubleshooting steps?
Did you recently upgrade the kernel? If so, try reverting back to the previous version and see if that fixes it.
Did you try the solution proposed here? You can also check before executing which groups your user is in by executing
groups
If the results already contains video, the proposed solution won’t help and the issue might be a different one. For my fresh install it solved the issue.
