Framework will never support 48gb modules on their 7040 laptops because they are not supported by the underlying 7040 platform. This is in the knowledge base.
It’s in the Framework knowledgebase, linked by the staffers to previous posts on here discussing it.
There are reports of FW13 AMD users who got their laptops and verified memory working. Since the U and HS are pretty much the same, I would think they should bode well for us too.

Framework is going to test them seperately and update their knowledgebase article for the Framework Laptop 16, as soon as they get that done…
According to support, this is going to happen relatively shortly before the first batch gets sent out.
