Hello everyone. I’ve just received my Framework 12 a couple of days ago and loving it so far. I tried to post in the Welcome! Please introduce yourself - 2nd edition , but somehow cannot. Anyways, I’ve tried to search for it and couldn’t find it, but is there any option to make the power button turn on the laptop when the lid is closed? I have my laptop connected to an external monitor, and I’m using it kind of like a desktop, with an external mouse and keyboard. However, every time I want to turn it on, I have to open the lid slightly, press the power button, and then close it again. I didn’t find any option in the BIOS to make the power button active when the lid is closed. Any suggestions on what I could do or perhaps is there a chance to add such an option?
There might be a bios setting to power on with psu charger connect. So, when you power on the plug on the wall, it switches the laptop on. Unfortunately, there have been reports of it not working.
You can also use a EC CCD that gives you console access to the EC. Thus being able to power it on with a console command. You could probably rig up a MCU or arduino to send the power on console command from a button press, but it seems overkill to me.
