I’ve preordered a Framework 16 AI 300 model last month and am patiently waiting for Batch 3 to ship. So to my delight, I received an email today with the subject line “Updates on start of production for Framework Laptop 16”. Except there was nothing in it about updates for the 16 but for the 13 Pro, which I understand was delayed due to some issues with the haptic touchpad. I was hoping maybe it was some sort of combined email for both models, since I did order the new haptic touchpad on mine too, but there was no mention at all about further delays on the 16, and the configurator still shows Batches 2-5 shipping in July.
Is the 16 haptic touchpad a different part from the 13 Pro? Is it also suffering from the same delay? Was that email supposed to also include info on delays for the 16 too or was it just a mistake in the subject line? Or was I the only one who got this email?
Inquiring minds would like to know.
