Looking to design something with a similar size to it and looking for dimensions.
I have neither engineering drawings or a vernier caliper. However I do have an Ethernet module. Until someone comes along with more precise measurements, these might help:
- 16.5 mm lateral protrusion from top cover.
- 13.5 mm high (standard module is 9 mm) i.e. protruding face is 4.5 mm higher than standard.
- 8.5 mm thick (standard module is 7 mm) i.e Ethernet sits 1.5 mm below the bottom cover.

Stumbled upon this thread and happen to have the module and vernier caliper right in front of me.
My measurements are slightly different.
Ethernet module:
total width : 30.0 mm
total height : 13.0 mm
insert height : 8.30 mm
protrusion height: 4.70 mm (calculated: 13.0 - 8.30)
protrusion depth : 17.0 mm (measured independently)
insert depth : 32.20 mm (measured independently)
total depth : 49.20 mm (measured end-to-end independently)
Standard module:
total width : 30.0 mm
total height: 6.65 - 7.00 mm (minor variations across modules)
total depth : 30.0 mm
Maybe a third person’s measurements will yield a good real-world average?
The ideal specs are surely also published somewhere =]
