Framework Laptop 16
I damaged my keyboard after spilling liquid on it. The membrane seems to be fine, but the board which connects to the keyboard to the mid frame has a damaged connector.
Does anybody have any leads to where I can buy this part?
Well I thought the part could have been in the store, but I guess you currently can’t just buy that part. Seems like you’d need to buy a whole new keyboard, which is unfortunate. I wonder if they could eventually add it to the store or if it’s more complicated and would depend on the type/language of the keyboard.
Maybe someone would be willing to part with their defective keyboard, see “mostly D key not working” thread somewhere here on the forum.
Might be worth posting in the For Sale forum stating you are looking to purchase (WTB) a new to you keyboard. Odds are good someone might have an old one they would part with.
Some pop up on eBay from time to time too. Cheap fix though! It could have been a more expensive and extensive repair!
