Does Framework 13 Have Design Flaws for Antenna?

I just received my fw13 and noticed my antenna seems to not functioning correctly. The speed I am getting in my room is 10-40 mbps vs other devices with 100-200mbps. I troubleshoot by putting my ax210 into another laptop and it was functioning better than its own ax201(latest driver & windows 11). Then I attached that laptop’s antenna to fw13, and my fw13 started getting 100-200mbps. I did notice that if I tilt fw13 at a specific angle, I can get around 100mbps, still slower than other devices but much better.

Does anyone have a similar issue? I saw some posts pointing to design flaws due to being surrounded by aluminum. Now I am not sure what my next step should be. I want to know if this is a known issue or do most people have speed on par with other devices? I really love fw13, but the bad wifi signal is a bit deal breaker for me. If this is something normal then I might have to return it. If not I will give replacement a try.

I have had quite good signal ootb. If I remember, some people have had their antenna lines pinched and got far better results after switching the lines out for new ones (thicker?).

I see, if you are far away from your router, does it receive similar speed as your phone or other devices?

Yeah, it’s very comparable. So is the max bandwith when I’m closer to a router!

That is nice to know, mine perform better the closer i get. Thanks for your input, i will replace my antenna and see if it will improve.
