Error message when booting

Hi all,

I am new to Framework and to Linux. I recently purchased a Framework Laptop 13 DIY Edition (AMD Ryzen™ 7040 Series) and installed Ubuntu 24.04 following the online guide. Everything went smoothly, but every time I switch on the laptop I get this error message for a few seconds.

I find the message annoying, but other than that the laptop then boots correctly and everything works smoothly (super happy with the choice!).

I do not understand what the error message means. Is it something I have to worry about or should I ignore it? What should I do to fix/eliminate it?

Hi bro
it’s an issue with the secure boot.
Did you have dual boot with windows ? it probably the issue with the last windows update

You can try to disabled the secure boot and try. If it work try able again secure boot and if it don’t work again your fucked :joy::joy:

No dual boot with windows. It was a DIY framework with no OS installed and I only installed Ubuntu with a USB installer.

Huum, interesting. Try to unable the secure boot to check if this is the issue. But if it’s the issue a don’t have solution

Microsoft has lately brought out a Patch that breaks secure boot on linux side. So - disable it in the meantime until the distributions bring out patches to fix it.
