I’ve had the FW16 since a little after it released and my GPU module’s fans recently broke. I still have the expansion bay shell fans so I was wondering if they would work as valid replacements? They appear to be the same other than the model number but I haven’t looked too far yet
keep in mind the graphic fans one are gen 2, while expansion bay fans are gen 1 mostlikely so that’s why they look different.
true the other picture was a gen 2 however if i understand correctly someone with gen1 should be able to update to gen2..
And yeah checking the website gen1 looks the same
it depends on screw holes if they match with gen 2 screws positions.
I suspect it might be different and may not work with gen 2 fans on gen 1 expansion bay module that has gen 1 gpu. So i guess you need to buy gen 1 fans for gen 1 gpu and gen 2 fans for gen 2 gpu.
For the expansion bay, if fans are 100% identical Gen 1 gpu fans and expansion bay ones then it might work. But i think there is fans just for expansion bay as well on their web store.
