Out of curiosity I am curious what your favorite Framework product is. I know that I have a preference myself, and I am just curious what the community at large favors.

If you feel so inclined, if you could share why you favor that product, that would be awesome.
I voted for the Framework 12, because I love the smaller footprint. I also really like the touch and pen input options.
If I could vote for another it would be the Framework 13. Even though I think it is too large, I find the mainboard for it to be ideal for SO many projects and DIY devices. The Mattbook, as an example, is the most powerful little laptop like device that I own.
Still the Framework 12 is really well thought out device, and if I being honest, had the 12 come out before the 13, I might not have ever wanted to even build the Mattbook.
I chose the FW12 also. I’ve also had 2 FW13’s and the FW16. I did like the 16, but in the end, it was just too big. I like the 13’s also - but I think the 12 is better positioned for longevity. Pogo pins, simple -everything- it’s a great design showcasing the lessons learned with the other systems and applied. And I like a laptop that I don’t feel like I have to baby.
There is a lot of clever design there. For one thing the intake and exhaust for the system fan mean that it doesn’t matter what you set the laptop on. I like that when the lid is closed the power button is ignored as well. But just like with other FW products the EC accessible and you can customize a whole lot. I do lament the possible for only a single lane of DDR5 but in use I have not noticed ANY slowdowns as a result. Since the my 12 has 64gb of RAM I feel like it more than keeps up with my 12th gen Framework 13. I do have a Framework 13 13th gen mainboard in the Mattbook but it is using DDR4 whereas the Framework 12 13th mainboard is not able to use DDR4 RAM.
I voted for the 16 because that’s the machine I have. The reason I got it was that 12 and 13 are too small and lacking numpad while the Desktop isn’t portable enough. Neither 12 nor Desktop were available when I ordered my machine.
Hard choice for myself personally. I have the Framework 13, 16, & mainboard in a Cooler Master case. They are all great products for what they offer.
My edge on the 16, is the expandability, customizability, screen size, and to some degree performance. If I could only have 1 computer instead of 2 or 3 machines (PC, laptop, & workstation, etc.) it can really do all the things I need to.
I have even considered retiring my poor i5-2500k home machine and buying a USB4 dock w/graphics expansion card slot for the heavier lifting of graphics and gaming at home.
