Fingerprint sign-in no longer working with KDE 6.6.1

After updating to KDE Plasma 6.6.1, I haven’t been able to get the fingerprint signin working. Has anyone else experienced this issue or know of a solution? It used to work when I was on workstation edition and installed kde desktop environment. I tried reinstalling fedora kde edition hoping it would fix some weird issue that was going on there but nope.

Quick edit: It still works when linux prompts an administrator password like sudo.

Yeah something is wrong with it for me as well. Haven’t had time to look into it yet. If I find the solution, I’ll post it here.
