It has come to my attention that there is some conflict somewhere when using FortiClient VPN. I have had Fortigate on this for over 6 hours. Known good VPN config that works beautifully on any other machine. Even tossed a fresh Win11 Pro 23H2 image on to make sure it was nothing that I’ve installed. Seems like the firewall (vpn server) sees the incoming connection and something on the machine is blocking the push that comes back to the client software for 2FA. There is by default a firewall rule created when the client installs, but just for argument sakes, we disabled the windows firewall. Also set the network connection to private. Only thing that we see created is this. Anyone have any insight?
Hmmmm, seems to me its a missing driver! Try to update your BIOS, and your firmware! There is an error in the kernel level and VPN use encryption protocols that heavily use drivers to hardware accelerate the connection so I wouldn’t be surprised if that was your issue if the VPN config is known good! Make sure you follow the official guide for your framework model (you haven’t included it:), and try to install latest drivers and firmware for you CPU and retry! Try to open device manager and if you see anything with an exclamation mark, I would suggest installing the newest possible drivers for that device. Software like driver booster can do it all for free, but I wouldn’t really install that on a business machine, uninstall it afterwards if you use it. The software is great but a little bit on the pushy side to sell you stuff and install other things to your system.
Ps: I would also like to see the “400 information” for more info and know your framework model!
Probably installing the latest driver pack, download from the Framework Web site, would help.
Also, to narrow down the problem, try over ethernet cable instead of WiFi.
