Framework 12 wifi connections

Hello!
My daughter has a Framework 12 laptop with Windows 11. We have had consistent wifi connection issues. We have the latest windows version, we have the latest framework driver package, latest bios. I tried removing and reinstalling the wifi card and double checking the wifi card antennae connections. The connection is always poor, even if we have the laptop right next to an access point. We have google fiber and use the google fiber access points/router. No other devices have this issue, even cheap wifi devices.
I contacted Framework support and am waiting for a reply and have tried looking at other posts related to wifi connection issues and doing what they suggest but have not had any improvements (most posts are linux related).
Does anyone have any suggestions we can try in the meantime?

I think the response from Framework support is the important thing here but while you are waiting for a response there we can entertain a few ideas.

Based on what you are describing it sounds like either the antennas are not completely connected or grounded, or the wifi card is defective or not properly inserted (bent pin, etc.). Both of these things are not the easiest to diagnose either. If you are not comfortable troublehshooting these things I would just wait for support to respond.

Thank you for the quick reply! I would still consider myself a novice in DIY hardware fixes, so I’m happy to wait for Framework support. I’ll update my post with results. I couldn’t see any other posts that are Framework 12 specific.
