I started having this issue yesterday when I took my input cover off to check on my RAM cause I was suspecting maybe there was a mounting issue (basically my framework will occasionally freeze out of nowhere on Kubuntu). Anyway, after examining my RAM which turned out to be fine, I put the input cover back on and that’s when I noticed the issue.
Basically, the power button will constantly seem to be pressed down all the time despite it not being pressed down. I theorized this is the case cause immediately after booting into Kubuntu or Windows, it will immediately go to sleep and then shut off which is what happened when the power button is pressed down all the time. I also confirmed it’s an input cover issue since I was able to boot normally when I use an external keyboard with the input cover disconnected. Eventually, I narrowed down to the power button since when the power button is disconnected this issue doesn’t come up at all. Has anyone have similar issue with their Framework for this before? Should I get a new power button for this issue?
