How can I activate tpm 2.0 on framework 13 AMD?
I have a friend on whom Win 11 could not be installed, a message always came up that some drivers were missing and when I connected a USB stick with the drivers from Framework or from WIFI (which apparently is supposed to be a problem to some extent) the drivers were not recognised. And yes, we did this via Rufus and have Remove requirement for an online Microsoft account. So I simply installed Win 10 and then wanted to upgrade to Win 11.
I experienced the same issue on my FW 16.
Unfortunately, the newer AMD FW13’s and FW 16 both use Microsoft’s pluton TPM as the TPM module. This TPM module can only be supported on Windows 11 as Windows 10 does not have the necessary software to detect it.
It’s very dumb that Microsoft is unwilling to provide any Windows 10 updates that can enable the OS to detect a pluton TPM (Microsoft’s own product), but I searched for a long time and found no options to do this.
Unfortunately, you will either have to stick with Windows 10, completely reinstall it with Windows 11, or switch to Linux.
Microsoft probably isn’t investing anytime in adding Pluton TPM support for Windows 10 given that Windows 10 will be End of Life next year and no longer supported at all for any type of update.
Use Rufus to bypass Windows 11 TPM requirement.
