Framework 16 AMD AI 300 Series Bluetooth Issues (RZ717 / MT7925)

I have a Framework 16 with the AI 350 Mobo and a MediaTek MT7925 Wifi card. I’m having some issues with the Bluetooth not working. I did a Fresh install of Windows 11 and I had it working briefly where it would connect and I could hear sound. After all the Windows updates when I connect to bluetooth I can hear no sound. When Watching Videos say on Twitch it pauses the video and pressing play again the video plays with no sound then a few seconds later it pauses it again.

I have uninstalled the driver from device manager, reinstalled using the Framework Driver Package but that has not fixed the issue.

Anyone have any ideas how I can get my Bluetooth working again?

Thanks.

This sort of thing is common with the MediaTek cards. It is probably their drivers and something in their firmware. At least this was more common with the original Framework AMD mainboards. Contact support to see if they can help guide you or if it is under warranty maybe they will replace the card if they believe it is defective.

Personally I got tired of the Bluetooth disconnects just like being described. Bought the Intel AX210 card (even though it is slightly slower) and have not had an issue since. It was a great $20 spent to end that frustration.

For anyone trying to troubleshoot this issue with the RZ717 / MT7925 Wifi/Bluetooth card I was able to get bluetooth audio back by disabling “AMD Bluetooth Audio Device” under “Sound, video and game controllers”
