Ahhhh that would explain it. I have the 128GB one. Thanks!
Given this info, fellow batch 13ers, please let us know your configuration when you report receiving your batch prep email.
According to this post, Framework has wrapped up all preorders for 32 and 64GB configurations, and they show up as in-stock on the website: Reddit - The heart of the internet
The store page also shows batches 1-14 as shipped for 128GB config, so hopefully weāll get our emails soon too:
Oh damn! I havenāt got an email yet
hopefully itāll drop tonight. Thanks for the update.
I havenāt got anything either - I guess weāll just have to wait a little longer. Anyway, when I pre-ordered I was expecting at least end of October, so canāt really complain ![]()
I have the Max 385 - 32GB config and ordered back in August. Still no email on an update.
You seem to have fallen through the cracks, since FW says pre-orders are completed for 32 GB units. Indeed, if you add a 32 GB config to the bag now, it says āShips in 5 daysā. You should contact Framework Support if you havenāt already. If you donāt get an answer right away, you may consider canceling the pre-order and buying one from stock.
Still awaiting an email for 128GB ![]()
Iām also in batch 13 for the 128GB model and have not received an email. Hopefully soon ![]()
With great anticipation comes great patiencā¦. no it doesnāt, Iām eager as hell to get that order prepping email!
I just got my āYour order has shippedā email!
(Max+ 395 - 64GB)
Got mine (64gb) today, a day earlier than tracking first indicated. Just waiting for the SSD I ordered from Amazon to arrive to try it out.
Still waiting for my email, too. 128GB model. Is making this week a long one! But reading about how people are making great images quickly on this little monster, it will be worth it.
I am hoping to be able to do some basic video generation and especially picture generation, and the odd bit of code applets. So far new 4TB M2 stick to hold multiple LLMās. Goal is not to have to pay for AI services on-line, so it will pay for itself, and be MINE, not a subscription, where if you forget to download the generated stuff, you lose it all, which so far Iāve done once. And just the getting sick of everything subscription - where having the horsepower to do it locally on a Linux box that I run MY way with MY stuff. Itās not just a Framework Desktop that I want; itās a Freedom Desktop!
Letās hope it lives up to expectations. Not too many of them, right?!!!
Mine (64GB) also arrived today (also 1 day earlier than FedEx had scheduled). It booted right up after installing the nvme ssd. The right side panel was on there very tightly, but as there are already two comments about that on the ifixit guide, this seems normal (slide a plastic shim between the panel and the silver bottom of the case)
Now Iām going to partially disassemble it and mod it to squeeze in a couple of 2.5inch Sata SSDs, letās see how that works out ![]()
Same here post when u get ur email are you in the states?
Just received my framework desktop (64gb) yesterday. Planning on setting it up today, Iāll post an update if I run into any issues.
Still no email for the 128Gb Desktop, and close of business for the weekend in most of USA at least.
This patience stuff is way over-rated! ![]()
It does seem that shipments of the 128Gb have slowed down ⦠although I may be imagining that
I got my sata disks working! Iāll make a separate post soonish with more pictures and details. This involves modifying a pcie 4x card to fit, soldering power cables, and a lot of tetris with wires. It would certainly be easier to do this in a different itx chassis and with a different psu, but where is the fun in that?
