Framework Desktop Batch 13 Guild

We’re probably gonna be waiting a while from the looks of the batch 12 thread… and batch 11 thread looks like we might be waiting until the end of later of quarter 4 if you ordered the 128gb version…. Guess we’re in for the long haul including the hold ups at the import centers.

Your not wrong, looking at the batch 11 and batch 12 thread looks like this might bleed into December

I’m kind of wondering what gives, since other manufacturers like Minisforum, GMKTec and Beelink don’t seem to have issues shipping their products, even 128GB variants…

Yes, the natives are getting restless.

Reality sucks some times! :joy::joy: :joy::joy:
Seriously, for all my complaining, the Frame.Work guys seem like tech heads who get how much people want this, and I’m sure they are doing their level best to get them out the door ASAP. Especially getting anything delivered to USA these days with our idiotic “government”, is an accomplishment.

So while I hope they will deliver sooner than end of the quarter, I can understand it if they can’t despite doing their best. And I would rather get it well built/soldered, than loose pieces or short circuits due to rushing it. I want it to last 5-8 years, more if possible, even if by then is only doing network server duties or similar.

But I sure will be glad when it gets here and I get to play with it!

Yes I just hope that if it does take time that it’s a quality end product especially for the price tag…

How does this Batch thing work? … will my order ship more or less the same time as most others in Batch 13 or much later because I ordered later? I see there is a “Framework Desktop Batch 14 Guild” in which people ordered before I did but I’m in an earlier Batch?

Order date 09 Oct 2025 Items 1 Delivery Batch 13 of Framework Desktop Edition (AMD Ryzen™ AI Max 300 Series) - 128GB

Are you saying you ordered 9th Oct and you’re in Batch 13 @dsfd ?

most of the others probably sell hundreds or thousands at a time to companies, and higher volume on Amazon, so have bigger manufacturing set-ups, probably. But less robust cooling, BIOS, and upgradeability. I like the Frame.work ethos around renewability, and being able to modify the loadout. But sure hoping they will take care of us 128 GB orders as well as they did the 32’s and 64’s,

Ngl someone needs to just tell the Republicans we’re gonna lose the AI “war” if they don’t get these shipments going quickly yell about national security….

I’m not sure which Batch my order is in but the information in my original post was copy-pasted from the Order Summary or confirmation page (whatever its called). Another glitch in the Matrix? Mandela Effect in real time?

I mean, I didn’t expect it to ship before November when I ordered back in August, but between the lack of updates from Framework, reported quality issues, and shipment/customs delays for some folks, I’m getting more tempted to just cancel the order and drive 50 minutes to the nearest Microcenter to pick up GMKTek one for less money and have it today.

Yeah it’s 1999.99$ on Amazon for the same computer basically…….

It’s not exactly the same, there are still a few things that make Framework more attractive:

  1. Standard form factor for the motherboard (so can use any mini-ITX case).
  2. Standard internal PSU - can use any FlexATX PSU.
  3. PCIe x4 slot, even though it’s basically useless now.
  4. Reviews indicate that Framework has better cooling and more silent operation.

But by the time I get this PC they might have the 256gb version out….. more or less Framework should ship enough product to the US to cover multiple batch orders otherwise it’s gonna take way to long….

They went pretty quick through the first 12 batches, this is probably the longest it’s been between updates so far. Not sure what’s the holdup, especially after announcing that they are wrapping up the pre-orders.

I suspect, I hope, the issue with the PSU noise may be holding things up. And, TBH, a quiet PSU would make the wait worthwhile for me

I know you’re only kidding around. But according to an AMD fanboy who seems to have a pretty good track record inferring the unannounced roadmap the next gen 2 of this APU is going to have 192Gigs of RAM and will be coming in 2027. So I didn’t feel compelled to wait.

Yeah I’m kidding.

Still no update from Framework… I think I’ll wait one more day, and if GMKTek is still in stock nearby, I’d just go and get it.
