Hey, ya. Glad to see this.
Since there is an open-ended delay delivering 128 Gig units, I decided to capitalize on that delay. I’m both a Batch 14 Desktop order and Batch 15 Mainboard order. If there is no positive outcome with the PSU noise issue, I’ll cancel my Batch 14 order before they start getting delivered.
But then since I can get a 0-speed PSU up to a few hundreds watts when I do my own build, and have an extra HighPoint 8-port card I could make use of, and have 8 extra drives to put in it, I may go the mainboard-only route anyway. Still haven’t decided.

I can’t, however, predict when Batch 15 orders will be delivered 
More, tho, I can’t predict what will be announced at CES 2026 or how potential announcements might play out in the compute space that AMD seem to have cornered for now

welp I’m very excited to get my Batch 15 desktop. IDK how long the prior ones took to ship. Going to be using it as a mid-tier workstation, might order a few more if it works well.
Same here! I’ll mostly be using it for work, which is some machine learning on quite large datasets (the old school ML, none of the deep stuff yet). I’m curious how the fast RAM will help. Fingers crossed that the delays don’t get worse
Curious if when deliveries of 128Gig units start again if that’ll be with Samsung mem now. And if there will be any performance impact.

Ok, “drops towel on sand* checking in as a Framework Desktop Batch 15 member. I hope they ship reasonably soon, otherwise I’m tempted to drop it and grab an in-stock DGX Spark from Microcenter instead …

I initially was in batch with a Desktop order. However, replaced it by a only ordering the mainboard: so now stuck in batch 15. saidly, there is not that much communication from framework about the delivery progress…
I am considering that too. But I’d probably opt for a 3rd party machine, as I think some?/most? DGX Spark clones can be had for $1K less.
But I’m more likely to opt for the Corsair AI 300 at this moment. They are in stock, shipping, and will probably arrive in 3 days. I really shouldn’t wait for stock to to be exhausted. It’s yet another mini PC based on the Sixunited’s AXB35 board (and seems to be a newer revision with 3.xx BIOS). Seems that manufacturer has gotten all the 128Gig RAM modules they needed. 
I asked this guy [ https://www.youtube.com/@dadsAIlab ] about the noise:
“How is the fan noise when idle and when under full load? Thanks. Thinking of jumping from my Framework order to this. As the Framework is suffering a pretty bad chronic periodic PSU fan issue right now,”
…and his response was what I was hoping to hear.

However even with that, I feel I need to wait until I see a YouTube video or in-depth review from someone who puts a dB meter to a unit in comparison to their GMKtec EVO-X2 at the same distance, which reaches greater audible levels under load than I’m happy with. So if the Corsair not only uses the same mainboard as the EVO-X2 but also uses the same cooling turbo fans, that’ll be a no-go for me too.

I got the e-mail for both my Batch 14 Desktop & my Batch 15 Mainboard (didn’t think I got my batch 15 email, but I see now I did), So, it all just got real for me, and I have a decision to make…
I was literally discussing the noise that the Corsair 300 makes on the “Strix Halo Homelab” Discord last night, and was mulling if I should cancel all my Framework orders. Okay, not doing that now.
But more importantly, do I spend an extra few hundred for earlier delivery of the kewl small SFF Desktop using a PSU I paid for too having a fan with behavior and an audio spectrum I’ll probably hate, and cancel the Mainboard, or visa versa…
I was going to stick with Batch 14 to get the case and take a loss on having to buy a different PSU. But since I can get my Batch 15 Mainboard only at the same time, dang… I think for my long term happiness I’ll have to do my own build and take the Mainboard only!
I’d be curious if anyone at Framework can pin down the expected ship date. I’m going to SC25 in a few weeks, so I need to make sure someone can get it off my porch if I’m not home then. Past that, woo hoo!

Batch 14 charged today. Batch 13 charged yesterday.
I’m feeling the anticipation one gets when at the front of a Bank or Whole Foods or Trader Joes or etc. queue where you know: I’M NEXT!
EDIT (rather than a double-post) : It is now the next day, and nothing. So much for that idea. I guess maybe the good news is participation in buying Framework Desktops or Mainboards increased as batches were filled?

Preparing, or Charged?
I’ll assume “Charged”. Please ignore if you only got “Preparing” now…
Someone in Batch 13 asked: “Any mainboard only folks who got charged already?”.
Made me wonder if Framework is prioritizing Desktop deliveries over Mainboard deliveries. In that I haven’t gotten an email that worry may be concretizing to reality.
… that would SUUUUCK, if true. I’ll give it another day before I begin screaming “unfair!”. I had a full Desktop order in Batch 14. But for the $475 more that I was spending for that I would not permit being sent the full kit w/a “jet airplane audio spectrum PSU” (not in amplitude, but in audio frequency spectrum), so cancelled it.
Batch 15 desktop – also charged today. I expect this to be shipped the following week if not tomorrow. Only just placed the order a week ago; surprised how quickly they got to me. Guess they are definitely prioritizing desktop over mainboard deliveries.
