And then there’s also the likelihood we’ll experience the Noisy PSU fan issue too. Someone made a recording of it : SndUp | Framework Desktop PSU Fan … as I cannot stand a “whirring” CPU/PSU fan, the odds of me cancelling my order has gone up.

I have this one BlackView MP60 mini PC that has developed this insanely noisy blower fan over time. Even tho I used to actively use it as an Emby & Channels backup DVR, the thing has been off for months. Whereas my much older NUC i5 used as my Roon server is still pretty silent unless it gets dusty. I expected silence from this Framework Desktop and lite noise under use. Its looking more and more like it will actually be noisier than my 3U server that contains 6x 16TB and 10x 12TB SATA IronWolf drives plus 6x SATA SSDs and 9 [NINE], correction 10 [TEN!] Noctua fans, with the 3U case and all its fans from 2 to 4 feet away from my right ear, and it’s near silent. Yet at this point I’m thinking that’ll still be quieter than this FW Desktop after hearing that recording.
