My desktop is stuck in customs (I presume—it’s listed as a “clearance delay” via FedEx). Been there for a few days now, so it’s also the full system they’re having problems delivering. Or at least mine is. (Stuck in Memphis, going to California, in case anyone is curious.)
Yea. Mine too. Been in customs for days and days now. I am OK with it because I have a vacation hold anyway. But if I was not on a delay, I would be freaking out. ![]()
This is really detailed information and makes sense. Especially item 3 which could shine some light on the mainboard US orders at the bottom of the queue.
Just wondering how accurate Gemini can possibly be given little public info on this process. Was the email from Framework?
Ya, you got a point there. I think I got carried away with enthusiasm and forgot they had been using that line for weeks now. Wiping out its credibility.
Yes. I didn’t want to copy and paste the exact e-mail I got directly from Framework support, as I did not ask them if it was okay that I do that. But I felt it was ‘more okay’ to copy & pasted the original to Gemini and let it refactor and summaries all the points. There was a 5th bullet that pertained just to me so I omitted that.
So all that is to say Gemini hadn’t grabbed all that from the ether and possibly hallucinated some of it. Those items were sourced directly from Framework support.
thanks for sharing what you found out!
As of this morning I got my “you’ve been charged” email - they cut it to the last day but they hit their “18 days” so I guess I can’t complain… too much ![]()
I also got my you’ve been charged email this morning after 18 days. US Mainboard order
Likewise! And I’ve now figured out how it happened! Let me elaborate and fill this thread up with useless characters…
Open below to uncover the secret:
Summary
- The first time everyone got notification that deliveries had started back up after the memory delay was literally only hours after I had put the Corsair AI 300 in my cart in the middle of the night, and almost clicked “buy”… where the next action would have been to cancel my Mainboard order. I held off buying it mainly because I learned it used the same cooling solution as the others that use the same motherboard.
- So thankfully didn’t cancel the Framework Mainboard only hours before I got the email.
- Today, I got the charged and “shipping soon” email too. Low and behold it is less than 24 hours after I was gifted a 17% off Dell coupon, put the NVDIA Spark Dell clone, the New Dell Pro Max GB10 2TB version in the cart, chose my options, added the coupon code which took, so was on my way to clicking Buy. Then would have cancelled the Framework order after that. But when I changed the shipping estimator’s zipcode from what it was in the USA to mine also in the USA, the coupon code was wiped out. And could not be reapplied. Was in communication with the coupon code issuer. But told him to hold off renewing it a for a few days.
- So again thankfully didn’t cancel the Framework Mainboard only hours before I got the email.
So, you are all welcome! ![]()
And if delivery gets stuck in some other follow-up tariff related delay, just let me know. I’ll find another competitor to the Framework Desktop or Mainboard to almost buy. That should result in the grease being reapplied in the right place in fulfillment or shipping by the invisible sky fairies, and result in delivery to our homes or workplaces. ![]()
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Above provided with tongue firmly lodged in cheek. ![]()
me too, now lets see what happens in our own personal game of delivery roulette ![]()
(I choose ‘red’)
I guess I got blacklisted for being snarky lmao, still stuck waiting in batch 14 mainboard only US.
(No email, and no charge on CC)
Well, I would debate that. I would argue no one has shown a greater level of snarky to a veiled hostility out of frustration on this forum than me. And my order seems to be, actually charged and order no longer cancellable so IS moving forward. So, I’d contact them by email assuming you haven’t already.
My desktop, which has (presumably) been stuck in customs, inclusive as of early this morning, is now scheduled for delivery tomorrow. It looks like it made it to Oakland today, so I’m thinking it’s almost home. Huzzah!
I just checked mine and see the same update. Looks like they’ve resolved the import issue. WOOHOO!!
Mine got updated this morning. All in all it took 6 days from getting a shipping number to get cleared in the US.
Im still waiting for the payment to be taken on my order.. I also just noticed that the optional Handle has disappeared from the pre-order (but the total price has remained the same).
Anyone else noticed this? Do you know if the handle has become a std item?
I am not seeing it on the configuration anymore. I only got the main board so I cannot verify the order.
I had a message to say they are out of stock of the handles and to decide if I want the order without the handle ![]()
Ok, just got the shipped email.
Now entering a new phase of uncertainty?
