FW 16 AMD-AI-300 (all batches) shipment tracking thread

Did you purchase a “full machine” or individual components etc…? where are you located? Assuming your card has been charged correct?

Batch 9 prep email received. AI 350 with rtx 5070 and bring your own ram and ssd.

Thanks for the idea. Although I’m hoping for a prompt resolution by Framework the company itself first, as that will be the quickest way to resolve this issue.

I purchased a full machine. Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 DIY edition with 64 GB RAM and a 2 TB SSD. I am in the United States and I haven’t been charged on my card either.

Depending on where you are located… Amazon (still?) has pretty good prices on the WD Blacks which Framework also sells.

I thought I noticed a price difference between the configuration on the website and my order, but then I noticed I was missing the extra empty expansion shell which I swear I added when configuring my HX 370. After adding that, everything seemed OK.

Maybe something like that is the case? You still have a little time left until your order gets locked…

In the UK Scan.co.uk had the 2TB ones about £50 cheaper than the framework store last week and a good £20 cheaper than Amazon. But I guess all offers are over now and both are sitting at £199.99

Scan: Sandisk WD Black SN7100 2TB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD/Solid State Drive LN154941 - WDS200T4X0E-00CJA0 | SCAN UK (not an affiliate link and as free of tracking as I can get it I think)

For Amazon I don’t have a link that isn’t full of tracking and other horrible things since I’m on my phone and in a different country to my main desktop, but it’s fairly easy to search for

I just did a quick look and all the SN770M models (for the 2230 slot) and all the SN850X models (for the 2280 slot) are still a lot cheaper.

In my case I have saved around 275 EUR in total for both the SN770M and the SN850X at current prices.

Also I noticed that none of these apparently can be purchased separately from Framework’s part shop anymore, the only thing which they still sell are memory kits…

I was not talking about the price difference between the website and the order, but rather the difference between the prices listed in the ‘Order confirmation’ e-mail and the ‘Preparing your batch’ e-mail. I’ve triple checked them both before mentioning it in my post.

I am batch 9, I got full machine as well 5070 + AI 9 +32g of ram. I got a confirmation email last night (3am-4am today technically) but no charge

I think people were worried about getting it in 2026, not after 2026  I bet most people would be cancelling their orders if they thought they’d have to wait another year.

That was my experience with FW13 too back in 2024 (I think?), but not with the recent FW12 - it actually took more than 18 days after payment email before I actually got charged and the order got shipped. But once my card got charged - the order was shipped almost immediately and arrived within something like two days.

If you can copy the link, you can always edit it down to https_//www.amazon.com/dp/<product_ID>. You can remove the product name between amazon.com part and /dp/ part, and everything after product ID after /dp/ part, all of those extra parts are indeed just a tracking junk.

I’ve just checked my order confirmation email, the order information on the website, the current configuration price on the website and the order preparation email and all prices all look the same.

Mind you, I ordered almost everything on the list Framework can provide for the 16 excluding (Western Digital) SSD storage and (Micron) memory. So if there’s a price difference it could be there - with the recent major price hikes for both as the cause.

Yeah, the price difference is because of the memory. That however, among other things, contradicts with what they said in their blog post:

Seeing the same. I am wondering if the location is actually the location of the package or just the station that reported the status update.

Batch 9 and I also got a similar bump in price for both the main SSD (8TB, +153€) and and RAM (96gb, +228.1€).

I am in Belgium and bought as a business, for what it’s worth.

I contacted support and they transferred me to some other service, still waiting on them to come back to me.

update… FedEx dropped off my Mainboard only(Batch #2), arrived on time as per tracking schedule. I will put it together this weekend and post any “lessons learned” and/or comments/tips etc…

Yes, my problem is that on my phone I’m getting links like this when I try to share via the app and I don’t have the time or energy at the moment to get it all working in my browser.

Heres the kind of link the app gives: https://amzn.eu /d/4cgM3Aq (with an intentional bonus space so it doesn’t actually work)

I’m surprised to see people upset about their batch not arriving in December. In my mind “shipping” does not mean “delivered”
