I did not see peiple being upset by this…
My order shows same tracking but instead of india it shows Japan (batch 5 too)
shipping to italy and FedEx shows expected delivery date as Monday 22nd
according to tracking it did:
Taiwan > China > (France accepted the customs sent by Fedex) > Japan > (supposedly flying to France?, it says “On the way” in the latest update)
Maybe upset is the wrong word. I definitely saw some concern or maybe disappointment that laptops may not arrive in December. I could also be stupid!
Got a bump in price as well - Considering I haven’t touched my order since November, I’m a bit miffed they aren’t honoring the statements made in the December 11th blog post. ![]()
I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw people start cancelling over this…
@zyriab - please keep us updated as to any resolution
Will do, maybe we should open a thread for people with this issue?
It seems not many of us had the price going up ![]()
I wouldn’t be surprised if it was an error
Them not honouring it might really not be legal, especially in the EU.
Perhaps some of the weird package routing is due to FedEx (and UPS) not having the use of their MD-11 cargo fleet during this holiday rush after the accident last month.
Motherboard (Batch 2) arrived today! Swapped it and the GeForce GPU in. Amazingly easy to swap. New driver bundle and BIOS installed, hopefully there are less issues here than with the 7040 BIOS…
You’re technically correct, the best kind of correct, about shipped vs delivered. Except at least in US FW deliveries arrive mere two-three days after being shipped out, so unless they get shipped mere three-four days before New Year chances are good they will also arrive within December. And there is nothing wrong with being upset when something you were hoping for didn’t happen, so long as blame not being laid on someone not deserving it.
My current estimation:
| Date | Action |
|---|---|
| December 19 | Batch preparation started |
| December 22/23/24 | Payment collected |
| December 25/26 | No activity, Christmas |
| December 29/30/31 | Batch shipped |
| January 7/8/9 | Batch delivered |
For me, ordering in October for a December batch I was hoping tonget it for the holidays and have some time to play with it before going back to work.
While shipping on December 31st would still be « on time », it’s a bit stretched.
But I do not blame Framework at all and never saw people going there yet. Just some people who like me are really hoping for an early news.
Batch #2 (board only) arrived yesterday on-time. Took me about 90 mins to swap it out. I did not run into any issues whatsoever. I did notice my Ryzen AI 9 HX370 board had Bios 3.03 so I downloaded the 3.04 BIOS and ran the update and downloaded the Ryzen_AI300 drivers bundle.
I also swapped out and upgraded to the Wi-Fi 7 card and installed 64GB (2x32GB) RAM (G.Skill, RipJaws DDR5). Machine is humming along thus far….
Interesting. My board had BIOS 3.00 installed. Kinda interesting that boards from the same batch had different BIOS versions.
Mine was on the 3.04 BIOS if I remember correctly. I did notice that the wrap on mainboard/chassis had a manufacture date of 11/2025, not that that narrows it down very much.
did your email not say “payment collection between 3 and 18 days”?
Most people on the forum got their payment collected within a week.
Batch 6 here again. Got charged today. It was weird because I got a transaction denied message… but was charged anyway.
Batch 7, payment denied email - processed manually straight after.
Not that I was sitting there waiting…..
Batch 7,
Successfully charged my card about 10 minutes ago and the Payment Successfull email came thru a few minutes later.
Maybe just maybe I’ll get the machine before New year?
Located in Australia for reference.
Batch 7, Payment just went through a few minutes ago!
