Offboard on a American/European airfield, moved to a DC and processed
Consider any actions on December 25/26 extremely unlikely. Our packages might have entered Europe or the US as soon as December 24 (depending on how much Framework is willing to pay for transport) but I can 99.9% guarantee they will be stuck on or near a airport for a while.
Iām wondering if I should contact support. Iām seeing people on batches after me getting payments and shipping with similar orders to mine but I have only received the prepping email. What do you guys think?
Removed the 2*16g of memory and 2to storage from my order (bought them myself)
I have received my batch preparation e-mail on the 10/12/25.
I havenāt got charged yet. Batch 3 is still in the 18 days windows for being charged (until the 28th) so itās technically normal. But seeing later batches getting charged got me worried and I wanted to know if there were still people on Batch 3 who havenāt been charged yet.

Received āWeāre preparing your batch!ā 2025-12-18 07:10 UTC
Have not seen a payment email yet as of 2025-12-21 22:36 UTC
Seems like not all of batch 9 has had their payments processed yet.
I didnāt see anyone listing specs in this thread, but I saw mostly no-RAM orders or orders with 16GB or 32GB modules listed as having payment processed in the Batch 9 Guild thread. This somewhat hints at the idea that maybe people who ordered 48GB modules might not have been charged yet.
I have seen orders requiring 48GB modules processed in the Batch 7 Guild thread, and I cannot find a Batch 8 Guild thread, so this inference may be wrong or may not apply to batches 7 or 8.
(Reasonable explanations other than 48GB modules to consider: order modifications, destination country, or the odd keyboard choices.)
I ordered my laptop without RAM primarily because I wanted to max it out, and Framework doesnāt offer 64GiB SODIMMs. That, and itās usually much cheaper to buy my own RAM and storage, though in case of Framework the difference seems to be lower than with other brands. If that makes my order arrive noticeably sooner - Iām all for it, itās been many weeks since I had the RAM and an already imaged SSD sitting on my desk waiting for the laptop to arrive.
Fair enough, though all Iām saying is that it may leave on Christmas Eve, I never said it could arrive already on Friday if it does. Iād say the earliest would be Saturday or Monday for late shipment. But if it ships out on Monday, there is a fair chance of delivery on Christmas Eve - I had two recent orders from FW this year, and both were delivered exactly two days after being shipped out. A girl can dream, I suppose?
P.S.: to clarify, Iām talking about deliveries to USA, other countries may have different delivery timelines due to different logistical chains and customs rules.
It can be really fast. My FW16 Gen 1 back in February shipped 2/27 from Taoyuan City, Taiwan and was delivered on 2/28 to the Chicago suburbs. The shipping service was FedEx International Priority DirectDistribution.
Thatās my main concern, though without any real knowledge of the international shipping industry, is there some chance that the airplane could be flown by people from Taiwan to the US instead of people coming from the US to Taiwan? I know companies like FedEx are US companies, but this doesnāt feel impossible to me. As for a US airfield, I got nothing there, though I will note as someone who flies on Christmas day annually, airports (or at least the one I go to) stay open on the 25th.
My Batch 7 Framework 16 has officially shipped just earlier today.
Current ETA to my front door in Australia is December 30th, a Tuesday.
Letās see how that holds out.
For those of you who get an Aftership tracking link / track number, chances are as it was for me, itās also your Fedex tracking number and you can shove the same number into Fedexās site to get some more details on the shipment.
Mine is supposed to arrive today (but itās still in Memphis for international shipment release) It did get updated from before 1:30pm to before the end of the day (but barring some sort of magic trickery I donāt think it would get from Memphis to Detroit before 8pm today)
Itās been on international shipment since the 19th as well
