Yes..balanced charged 21/12/2025. Full DIY with RAM and HDDās (and all the other stuff), but no external GPU.

Hmm, our new AI overlords seem to think there is still a good chance the package will arrive to WA, US, before Christmas, unless there is customs hold.

Well, go figure - my laptop is already in Memphis, Tennessee. So far the shipment route and schedule appears to be a near exact replica of FW12 delivery. If there are no delays in customs in Memphis, at this point I wholy expect it to arrive in Seattle on Christmas Eve.
Sadly, mine (batch 8) got delayed today due to 48GB stock shortage:
DDR5 48GB memory ā Shipping begins December 31, 2025, but may be delayed further.
Tbh I thought that the pre-orders have guaranteed stock reservation, but hoping they will be able to resolve this soon. Would be really bummed if it doesnāt get restocked..

I ordered the 2nd gen top cover kit on the 17th, and it arrived today.
Iād say it was slightly harder to replace than the motherboard, solely due to the number of screws involved, plus having to thread all the cables (webcam, wi-fi, and eDP) through the bottom shell.
I think itās a bit stiffer than the 1st gen top cover, but can still flex if you force it.

Same here, I received the email a little over 8 hours ago that mine is also delayed because the DDR5 48GB memory is delayed until December 31, 2025. Also batch 8.
They give 4 options. 1. Keep it and wait. 2. Remove it for faster fulfillment, though if added back later than the original pricing is lost. 3. Switch to a different DDR5 memory, though you would pay the current pricing. 4. Cancel your pre-order.
Itās certainly disappointing, but Iām happy they reached out with an update and that they provided options if we absolutely needed the laptop quicker. So far from everything Iāve seen of them they are trying to do right by their customers even if they make mistakes from time to time like the pricing increase issue that lots of folks ran into. Iāll personally wait it out as the pricing is much better than what I can get in the open market.

I just picked up my Batch 3 laptop from the courier. Shipping took a bit, but Iām happy to have received it before Christmas.

Fun fact: When i ordered the Framwork 16 in September i ordered 96 GB Crucial from another dealer. I was not happy with the price of 180ā¬ for both modules at this timeā¦
Today i feel it was a good idea to order the modules for this price.

I ordered the 2nd gen top cover as well on 12/19. Not shipped yet. How accurate were the instructions to get it installed/swapped out with old (1st gen)?
I would advise people with memory out-of-stock issues to take a look if Amazon (or another retailer with similar warehouse size) has relatively affordable Micron/Crucial SO DIMMs in stock.
At the time I still paid a hefty price for my two 64Gb modules, but they were still cheaper than the ones offered by Framework on the marketplace. And they are official Crucial modules too, not OEM white label.
Pretty accurate. Only issue I found with the guide was it didnāt include a step saying to remove the Graphics/Expansion Module before trying to remove the Ventilation Plate. The Vent Plate is kinda held down by the frame of the Graphics/Expansion Module. Other than that, the guide was helpful.
Oh, and the kit doesnāt include an eDP cable, so you need to keep the one from the old top cover.

Batch 7 - Got my shipment email at 6:22 AM EST this morning. 
ETA is showing as December 29th, barring any FedEx shenanigans

US delivery, FedEx, Standard transit is Monday the 29th before noon.
Batch 8, with 2x48GB sticks, so it seems they were at least able to fulfill some of those orders now.
