FW12 closing the lid causes the laptop to wake from sleep

There is an odd behavior I’ve found with the FW12’s handling of sleep, in Windows I have “closing the lid” set to “Do Nothing” because I like being able to close the laptop and carry it while it is doing something like rendering or downloading and not have it go to sleep automatically. However if the laptop is open and sleeping, closing the lid causes the laptop to wake up. All other laptops I’ve had with the same settings will stay sleeping when the lid is closed.

I’m wondering if this is an oversight in the bios, or if the behavior needs to be kept an option could be added to the bios to not automatically wake the laptop if the lid is opened or closed?

I am also having a similar issue on Fedora 44 KDE Plasma: plugging in the device to charging while it is sleeping will wake it up.

The easiest workaround I found for this is just pressing the power button 2 or 3 seconds after the device wakes up and the power button turns solid white to reflect that. I’d appreciate it if there were a proper fix though.
