FW13, 12th gen: Replaced display (matte) only working in Arch

Hello All!

I’ve got a 12th gen i7 FW13 dual booted Arch and Windows 10. Recently, the display broke, so I replaced it with the Matte replacement display (not the 2.8K version). Upon booting the system, the display would only work when booted in to Arch - but when in the BIOS, bootloader, and Windows, it only outputs to the HDMI and the screen is dark. I’ve tried updating the BIOS to 3.07, and reinstalling the drivers, but that did not fix the issue. Any tips?

I think what you are seeing is by design. If an external display is present, display bios screen to it. If external display is not present, display to laptop display panel.
This makes it easier to diagnose display problems and use the mainboard standalone.

Hey James, thanks for your response! Unfortunately, the issue persisted irrespective of whether an external monitor or even the hdmi expansion card was used plugged in at all.
