FW13 AMD7040 suddenly stop charging with on/off behaviour

Hi guys i have the device since april.
framework 13
7040
BIOS 03.05
Win 11

During operation suddenly stopped charging -

Explanation operation: I had a MS teams video call. Fan was on full speed. Before the laptop died i was able to check battery logs - around that time the device stopped charging and living from the battery.

I noticed when the battery went below threshold and energy savings notice kept popping up. It tries to charge, stopps gooes to battery mode and triggers energy saving mode, and the cycle starts again … The LED turns on when in charging mode and is off when back to battery mode aka blinking

What I recognised that charging devices from device has stopped working a while ago as well not sure whether its related.

I actually see similarities to this topic.

Problem is now battery is empty. What can I do to make it charge again? Is there a way to reset? (I only saw feset instructions for intel)

So I am in touch with support and we are are at step 4 resetting bios… which might have worked but its not related to the device not charging.

The LED is flashing on the side where its connected.

If anyone is interested I shared with them fotos and vids in the folder. Fotos and videos

All by myself… don’t wanna be …. All by myself… anymoooooooore…

Frustrations with Framework Support: A Call for Better Solutions

  • Device: Framework 13th Gen AMD (Windows 11)
  • Context: Case Details

It’s been over a month since my Framework laptop stopped working, and I still have no idea how much longer it will take to get it fixed. While the issue has been diagnosed and the necessary parts identified, the repair process is stuck due to what seems to be a backlog at the repair center. As a result, the plan to resolve the issue has yet to be executed.

When I chose Framework, I knew I was investing in a product that might come with some quirks. However, I was confident that the modular design—allowing for component replacements and upgrades—would outweigh those concerns. What I didn’t anticipate was the lackluster quality of the support system.

While my personal situation might not be relevant to everyone, it’s worth noting that this issue occurred during one of the most challenging periods of my life. I depend heavily on this device to rebuild my livelihood, yet it has now been over a month without a resolution. No alternative solutions or proactive support measures have been offered to address my situation.

This experience has made me question whether Framework laptops are reliable enough for primary, mission-critical use. As it stands, I now view these devices as suitable only for secondary or hobbyist purposes—they simply don’t inspire confidence when it comes to trusting them with my work or life.

Have you faced similar issues with Framework? Did your perception of the company or its products change as a result? If so, I’d love to hear your experiences.

At this point, I’m seriously considering cutting my losses and heading to the nearest Apple Store. If you’ve chosen to stick with Framework, tell me why. What reasons do you have to stay committed to the brand?

When I needed to do a RMA, I received the replacement part and I was asked to send the defective part to the repair center afterwards, not the other way around.

They did send it. It arrived finally.

Did anyone face issues with unscrewing parts?
I am currently stuck at removing the SSD, because the screw is tight af and impossible to unscrew, the screwdriver also bend - yes that tight -

Any advise?
