FW13 (DIY) shutting down after moving the lid slightly

Hello, I got my hands on my first Framework laptop at last (FW13, AMD 7040 Series, RAM and storage from Framework, Windows 11), and I’m loving it so far, but can’t really use it, as every time I move the lid slightly, it restarts itself. Tried re-installing the windows, but the issue persists. Suspected that it might have something to do with power button settings, after chaning them it seemed to help for a second, but then it restarted itself nonetheless. It’s under no load, and have checked all the connections that I connected while assemlying it twice. Whether it’s plugged in or not doesn’t seem to change the issue.
Occasionally after those restarts the keyboard doesn’t work as well, which get’s fixed by another restart, but not really sure it’s related.
Currently working on getting a live linux to test it, but not very sure it’s a software issue at this point.
I really want to love it, but did not expect such peculiar problems.

Any ideas on how to move forward?

Is there anything notable in the windows event viewer that indicates why it is restarting?

there are bunch of 41 followed by 6008 errors, and after throwing them all at ChatGpt, it sounds more and more like a hardware issue?

Ok so after another dissasembly and reassembly, I noticed that the problem dissapeared when backscrews were loose and the problem reappeared after screwing them back in. Didn’t use abnormal amount of force when tightening them, but it seems the screw under power button locks the power button down when too tight that most likely caused this fiasco. So un-tightened the screw and praying that this remains working long-term

Surely that can’t be the solution. It’s a workaround at best. Solution would be to reach out to Framework Support for them to address as one would think this is out of spec.

Man, the sub-par QC that some would accept (not just this thread…but some other things mentioned on the forum in general). Mind boggling.
