Nah, I’m happy with it otherwise so no sense returning an entire laptop just for 4 extra GB VRAM - but if they’d literally just announced it with the Next-Gen Event I’d have preordered instead.

Valve - a much larger company - delayed its hardware releases as well.
I think it’s just due to Chip Shortage 2.0 Electric Boogaloo.

Not much time left to hit the batch #1 June time line. Framework still on a scavenge hunt for memory I guess.
With their volumes, they’re probably not much better off than one of us would be trying to order memory.

Yeah, it is happening!
I’ve heard that Valve ships some Steam Machines with one 16GB RAM stick, and others with two 8GB ones.
The reason is, to paraphrase its representatives, that “they couldn’t order certain components - at any price”.
In light of this it’s amazing that Framework is able to pull this off with just some delay.
