FW16 touch pad and keyboard not connecting

FW16, AMD 7040 Series, W11

My unit was built in late 2025. Has not had much usage. The unit is a backup laptop my my music performance. I noticed that the touch pad and keyboard was not connecting when the touch pad is in the center position. If I move the touchpad to the far right position the touch pad and keyboard make contact and all is well. After reading some of the community posts on this issue it was suggested that the pins on the connect may be stuck down. I check out the connect that is in question and one of the pins on the top row is stuck down. I tried some contact cleaner and worked the pin up and down but is will not budge. I have contacted FW support but have not gotten much help yet on a solution. Any thoughts?

Hey! If you got it in late 2025, you should still be in warranty unless the reason for the sticking is liquid damage or similar.

If cleaner and some fine tweezers arent working, I’d recommend going ahead and sending support a picture of the connector so they can determine the cause and get the RMA process started, if needed.
