hi, I just got the 5070 GPU and it won’t slot into place properly, I’m worried I broke something cause I can’t put the shell back into the slot either, I never forced anything in and looking at other videos in clicks into place, all I did was remove the shell
I almost had this exact issue. I tried a couple of times to get it to slot in and then noticed the notched rails. I almost cried with relief when I worked out the trick to it.
As I said above, the trick to putting these in is that there are a couple of notched rails that the modules have to be inserted onto. Take the unit all the way back, line it up carefully then slide it down the rails and then it’ll seat properly. It really isn’t easy to spot what the issue is until it just suddenly works.
