It appears that the Intel AX 210 NGW wifi card sold by Framework uses MHF4 connectors, yet the antenna module uses u.FL. Isn’t this a conflict of standards?
I’m asking because I’d like to upgrade my FW 13 AMD to use the Intel card but my understanding is that the u.FL and MHF4 standards are not interchangeable. For those of you who have made the switch, how did you do it? What am I missing here?
I replaced the AX210 with the RZ616 in my 11th gen 13", with no issues. Many have gone the other direction. Where did you find the information that the cards and antennas use different connectors? If there is spurious information out there, I would open a ticket with Support to have it corrected.
It appears that framework needs to update the marketplace descriptions.
"Framework Laptop 13 Antenna Module
Supporting 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands, the Antenna module attaches to a WiFi module over U.FL connectors to enable the latest WiFi and Bluetooth standards."
