Laptop black screen ever since a lid close while running Kali Linux - Now Power On Doesn't Do POST and Gives Blank Screen

I purchased a Framework Laptop 13 AMD AI 300 series while in the US early-July 2025, with the help of my former AirBNB host and I paid him for that.

This unit is now with me in Singapore, where retailers for the laptop doesn’t exist. The issue started yesterday (after just 2 months of use!) - When I closed the lid in a class lecture break to move it around and talk to my project group.

But then the screen never recovered once I opened it. And ever since, the computer doesn’t boot up every time I powered it on.

Mine is a DIY edition, no storage, Framework-provided SK Hynix pair of 16GB DDR5 RAMs (32GB total).

Ran Kali Linux well including lid closed while the OS was running, and was able to go back to lock screen until yesterday.

It looks like similar issue has been frequently reported and I have the following steps of troubleshooting done:

1 - Unplug and replug battery. RTC battery is optional for my model.

2 - Connect to an external monitor while the laptop monitor connector is disconnected.

3 - Tested all RAM slots with each RAM (Framework’s SK Hynix RAM)

4 - Unseated and re-seated my SK Hynix 2TB NVMe SSD

5 - Left the laptop running for 30 minutes since boot to see if I get RAM training done. Doesn’t work

6 - Perform board reset (10 times of pressing on intrusion detection board switch, and then SW1 switch)

Nothing works.

1.5 minute into the boot, the board also consistently gave me the following POST CODE - WG(x12)RBGBGBGGG

I will further verify my purchase via a ticket if required, once I get my order details from my former AirBNB host (Since it was not on my Framework website account. I had to order under my host because Singapore wasn’t available for Billing Address during order). Meanwhile please let me know if there are other steps I can do or if RMA is in order and that my details are needed.
