Laptop does not start

Which Linux distro are you using? Pop_Os

Which release version? 24.04

Which kernel are you using? Pop_Os given

Which BIOS version are you using? newest

Which Framework Laptop 13 model are you using? (AMD Ryzen™ 7040 Series)

If I try to boot the Laptop nothing on the screen happens.

On the side occasionally when trying to boot the orange, geen, blue LEDs are blinking. I already tried to start without the boot ssd and I got into the BIOS. But sadly not when the boot ssd is installed.

The only thing I customized on the laptop is the updated Thermalpaste half a year ago but it worked fine until now.

What is the problem and how can I fix this?

I cannot offer a concrete solution. After lurking on this forum for a few years I have gained the impression that the LED colour-change and flash sequence encodes diagnostic data that might provide insight into the sub-systems(s) that have failed.

I suggest you make a careful note of the sequence and document it in this thread.

Contributors familiar with the LED sequences might then be able to interpret [and share] what they mean in your context.

Hi,

I am just another user like you.
It is useful to understand the blink codes.
You might be able to video the blinks, slow it down and write the blinks down.
The blinks and what they might mean are here:

Diagnosing from what you have mentioned.
Without the SSD, you can get into the BIOS. With the SSD, you cannot get into BIOS.
The fact that you can get into the BIOS means the RAM and Mainboard is OK.
That leaves your SSD as the problem.
On other threads, we have proved that faulty PCIe devices (SSD, Wifi etc.) can cause the laptop to fail to boot and fail to get into the BIOS.
Working RAM is also needed before anything can display on the screen, so the fact you could see the BIOS screens, means your RAM is OK.

Summary:
I think your SSD has broken. You probably need a new SSD.

I dont know if it’s the SSD. Because I could Install Ubuntu just fine. But now this happened. And I cannot Boot with another SSD which has Fedora installed.
