having my 12 for a month now and it fails at 50% of the boot/wakeup with no real error message. Very rarely I see some sector read errors but most of the times it just freezes at the distro logo.
The workaround is to just hold the power button, let it power down and reboot. The reboot is always successful and it runs just fine after that.
I self assembled the laptop and its happening with fedora 43 and the current Mint (did not try any other).
I removed that pink slimy stuff from underneath the ssd (because its not in any of the pictures of the assembly manual) and the problem got better for a few days but finally returned.
Anyone here having the same/a similar problem?
