Male usb c cable to connect my phone

Okay. So. I kinda want to connect my phone to my FW16 to share the 5G connection, transfer files, and charge my phone.

I was thinking of buying one of the following cables: (basically a short, angled USB-C to C cable)

and 3d printing a shroud.

The idea was to tuck it into the case once done.

I’d like to hear your opinions on it.

Edit:
Any suggestions or help is welcome (I’m quite new to this forum and this kinda stuff in gerneral)

Edit 2:
Maybe this could even be used to charge the Laptop itself as it only is a Cable. Handy for when you forget the charger but have a usb c outlet.

Welcome to the forum

Before buying anything or 3d printing, I’d suggest checking that your phone & your service provider will cooperate. By trying it with whatever cable you have now.

Some cell phone plans do not allow tethering. (click to show)

They’ll attempt to block you. Telling your phone to not offer it to you as an option, and I believe many phones will obey. You didn’t think you controlled the device you paid for, and supposed to “own”, did you? If you have root, you do own your phone of course (mostly). But service providers monitor your traffic for fingerprints of tethering, so you’ll need an app that hides that. There should be a few. One I know of: github.com/Mygod/VPNHotspot

Buy unlocked phone not carrier phone

But it is an unlocked phone. It does work! I’ve tried it

Thanks. I didn’t know that so many companies would to that. But I my phone is unlocked as I bought it myself. It does work
