Midplate connector ribbon cable came off how deep to reinstall on the back of the midplate?

Hi all,

I have a framework 16 running windows 10 with an AMD processor and GPU.

In the process of explaining the modularity to my son the ribbon cable which connects the midplate camed dislodged.

My question is how deep do I need to insert the ribbon cable on the mid plate side?

Pretty clear from the positive. Click on how deep it needs to go on The laptop side.

Edit: I fixed it after fussing about for awhile.

The answer, should yours come unstuck from both sides is to elevate the wee black strip on the midplate side until it is perpendicular to the plate bottom.

Then simply push the ribbon cable as if you were proceeding under that black strip. The strip will tilt against the angle of force and then you can “close it” on top of the ribbon connector until it is seated.

Then simply restick it, replace the plate, screws, and then depress the connector for the motherboard side until you get a positive click.

Booted and done!
