Monitor Screen Idea

Hi everyone. I have no background in creating anything like this so I put the idea out there if anyone or company takes an interest in making it for people to purchase.

I propose for the upcoming 16" variant that someone creates a 16:10, 1920x1200 display. This allows so much more viewing of general content and really helps photographers with vertical viewing and editing on a relatively small screen.

That was my main idea but other thoughts I have would be to make it IPS, HDR, 100% sRGB and Adobe RGB, and Freesync Premium Pro. I picked 1920x1200 as the resolution as an AMD R7 7840U APU would excel at gaming at that res but nothing higher.

What do people think? Any interest, thoughts, improvements, it’s all a bad idea?

a lot of the laptop is linked to the display (e.g., chassis height, etc.)
I don’t think they have even published the specs yet, but seems like a more landscape-ish display compared to the 14 inch. (or 13 inch).

Better panels for more color coverage would be nice, but it seem to not be their top priority and that’s understandable. With a package as configurable as Framework you can upgrade your panel down the road pretty much instantly, and don’t have to worry too much about cost.

We already know that the FW16 will be a 16:10 1920x1080 panel.

We know it will be 16:10. But 1920×1080 is 16:9; 1920×1200 is the usual equivalent 16:10. Has there been anything mentioned about the resolution? I certainly wouldn’t consider a screen with such a low resolution; either of those would be lower resolution, and much lower ppi, than the screen on the FW13.

I apologize for the late response. Where is this info at? I missed it

Yeah, that resolution is a bit low, specially for a 16. Hopefully they offer at least a higher resolution option.

Also, with Freesync/Adaptative sync would be ideal.
