No display on first boot

Need help for my first boot! The laptop is on and whirring, but there is no display and the only LED that’s lit up is from the charger (orange.) I have not seen any lights blinking green to indicate memory initialization or to output error codes.

The first time I turned it on, it was with a USB drive in with Ubuntu OS. After nothing for several minutes I turned off. Unplugged USB, same.

It’s been whirring now for maybe 15-20 min.

Is this normal? Any tips?

What RAM do you have? If you have 5200 Mhz RAM, that will not work and you’ll need a kit of 5600 Mhz RAM.

Can you hook it up to an external monitor and see if it displays anything?

External monitor does not display anything.

Although diagnostic ran, maybe I missed this yesterday.

Have you tried booting with one stick only?
