Potential Camera Issue since last update v3.03
A non techy here. Noticed on my Windows 11 machine, since updating the software using the bundle that the CPU running nearly constantly whenever I use the camera in video calls.
The fan noise drops 5 seconds after I close the cover on the camera. If I open up again, the fan starts up. Closing Slack also worked
My next video call was on Meet, same thing happened, fan noise constant. Stops when closing camera cover.
Anyone else see this issue and if so, did you manage to resolve??
If it starts and stops exactly with the camera shutter, I’d first separate “camera driver” from “video-call app load”. In Task Manager check whether CPU, GPU Video Encode, or one specific process spikes, then try the Windows Camera app with the same privacy shutter open. If Camera is quiet but Slack/Meet is noisy, disable background blur/HD video and test again. If Camera also triggers it after the v3.03 bundle, I’d reinstall the driver bundle once and include that detail in a support ticket.
Hi there. it was occurring when I only had the windows version open. I re-installed the drivers and it is working normally again. Some large windows update today, but thankfully, no fan noise with camera open. Thanks for the input
